This is exactly why workers need unions. They need a strong voice at a bargaining table, much like the workers at Field Aviation needed 69 years ago when they sought to become unionized.
On March the 8th, 1956, the Ontario Labour Relations Board certified the IAM to be the sole and exclusive Bargaining Agent for Field Aviation Company, Limited in Ontario. This is one of the IAM’s longest standing, aviation related bargaining units in Ontario.
We have had longevity because we are strong!
I have faith that an acceptable deal can be reached.
Please know that if not, and you elect to strike, The Union will stand shoulder to shoulder with you during a time when replacement workers (scabs) are considered illegal under Federal jurisdiction.
