Innotech, Ottawa Update

Innotech Update:

Your Bargaining Committee consisting of Kaitlin Labelle, Darin Meads & myself, met with Company Representatives (Alistair Price, Joel Bedard, Geneviève Nantel & Gary Martin) on Wednesday April 10th to begin negotiations for a new Collective Agreement.

Your Union Bargaining Committee previously conducted a careful and thorough review of your negotiation surveys, your present CBA, costing information, etc. in order to be properly prepared for this round of bargaining.
We have also worked hard to review the language in your CBA and to propose changes that would allow for a better structure of the Articles it contains, which in turn will make it easier to follow and thus more user friendly.
Based on the feedback we received stemming from your surveys and discussions you have had with your Bargaining Committee Representatives, we presented the Company with what we believe to be fair and reasonable monetary and non monetary proposals.

The parties have agreed to take a break for a few weeks as the Company requires adequate time to review and cost out all of our proposals and to formulate responses and/or counter proposals.
Your Committee will keep you updated as we progress through this round of Collective Bargaining.
You can be assured that your Committee is working diligently in an effort to bring back the best deal possible for you to vote on.
On behalf of your Committee, I would like to thank you for your patience as we proceed through this round of bargaining.
